About Me

This website acts as my digital presence. I'll post cool new things I discover about programming, photography and traveling, at uneven intervals.

What Do I do?

I write code to earn a living. Been doing that on and off for 10 year now.

Started with Visual Basic to develop reports in Actuate Reporting Tool (now known as OpenText). Experience with Visual Basic was as great as you would think it was, so moved on to Oracle PL/SQL development for little awhile.

At that point, Microsoft's .Net was talk of the town and my 2nd organization needed someone with some experience with it. Luckily, I had done my final year project in C#.net and thus started working in that.

It was a good carrier move; jobs were plenty and for long while things were exciting. Then they were not.

I wanted to have full knowledge how a website works: servers and everything. More then that, was sold on the idea to become my own boss. Hence, I delved into Affiliate Marketing.

Ya, that didn't work. And, so much of time and money spent...

It wasn't a complete loss though. Ended up learning a lot of stuff that I would never would have otherwise: Linux, Wordpress, SEO, Server Security, Nginx, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, AWK, and a few others.

These days, I have taken into Rust. Was developing a pretty cool website with equally cool co-workers all in Rust. Now a days, working for another cool company to develop the next big thing in blockchain space.

When not working

At various point of my life, I had been an amateur photographer, a rider. When not bounded to home due to Corona-Virus, I still do travel. And irrespective of Corona-Virus, when home, I study new programming languages and India-centric geopolitics.
